Join us for an explosive Science Saturday session and discover the science behind volcanoes! Have you ever wondered why volcanoes happen or where they occur? In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the answers to these questions and witness some thrilling chemical reactions to create your own volcanic eruptions!
We’ll dive into the world of volcanoes through videos of memorable eruptions, including two that happened in the U.S. within your lifetime. Participants will handle six different forms of volcanic rock and even get the chance to crack open your own million-year-old volcanic geode, revealing its secrets for the first time ever!
