What is Junior Solar Sprint (JSS)?

Teams of 2-3 students design, build & race solar electric cars. Teams MUST follow the JSS Competition Regulations found in the JSS Event Guidelines.

Teams Evaluated On:

• Portfolio (notebook of documentation materials)
• Display (ONLY includes the solar car on a decorated shoebox)
• Solar Car Artisanship and Engineering
• Race Performance

All students, coaches and volunteers MUST register to participate.

Registered teams will receive instructions upon confirmation. Once registered, you can pick up your FREE solar car kit at the Discovery Center.

The winning team receives a paid entry to the 2025 National TSA competition in Nashville, TN, June 27th to July 1st, 2025!
