About the Magic of Science Fair and Family Festival

The Magic of Science Fair and Family Festival will be held at the Towson University Northeastern (TUNE) Maryland, across from Harford Community College, located on 510 Thomas Run Road in Bel Air, Md., on Saturday, May 17, 2025, from 9 am – 3 pm. People with differing abilities are welcome to attend our Access Hour from 9 – 10 am, and everyone is welcome 10 am – 3 pm.

The Magic of Science Fair and Family Festival—engineered by the Discovery Center at Water’s Edge and many community partners—brings people together through the wonder of science. The hands-on exhibits enable participants to celebrate the science of everyday things through exploration of the scientific principles at play.

From robots and drones to yoga and carnival games, expect a day of family fun! Exhibitors and vendors will round out the attractions. New in 2025 will be a Silent Auction and Raffles with advance access provided at the Discovery Center at Water’s Edge at 4505 Pulaski Hwy., Belcamp, Md.

A regional science fair for middle school students organized by the Senior Science Society will be held in conjunction with the Magic of Science Family Festival. Student participants will display their innovative projects in various STEM disciplines. Submission guidelines and entry forms can be found under the Science Fair Tab.
