Magic of Science Fair
Setup for the Magic of Science Fair begins at 8 am with sign-in and setup for participants. Judging and interviews will begin at 9 am. The public is welcome to attend and view the students’ projects, ask questions, and provide support for our students in STEM, beginning at 10 am for people with differing abilities, and 11 am for the general public.
Magic of Science Family Festival
The Magic of Science Family Festival begins at 10 am for people with differing abilities, and 11 am for the general public. The Festival is a free day of STEM activities, exhibits, and vendors. There will be something for everyone!
Check the weather! Bring water and/or your water bottle to fill at the TUNE Center. The 2024 Magic of Science Fair and Family Festival will happen rain or shine!
Towson University Northeast (TUNE) Maryland is located at 510 Thomas Run Road in Bel Air, and is across the street from Harford Community College. Please take a look at the map link below to get a better idea of where that is in relation to where you are.
Event Operations
Event Operations is located on Level One, Room 112. Level One is one level down from the main entrance and lobby and opens out onto the greens.
Event Operations will be your first stop for the following:
- Questions
- Assistance locating a lost child
- Lost and found
- First aid station

The Magic of Science Fair and Family Festival will have signs and posters located on Churchville Road, Thomas Run Road, the TUNE Center and Harford Community College parking lots, and inside throughout the event. These signs and posters will help you arrive without frustration and navigate the TUNE Center to find and participate in all the fun!

Volunteers that are scheduled to assist at the 2024 Magic of Science Fair and Family Festival should arrive at the TUNE Center, 510 Thomas Run Road, Bel Air, Md., (Entrance 7, see Overview Map) at their assigned time and check in at the Volunteer/Exhibitor Registration tent located in the main TUNE parking lot loading and unloading zone as depicted in the map shown below.
If you would like to volunteer your time, please take this link to fill out our volunteer registration form. We need you! There will be volunteer jobs available from directing cars in the parking lot, helping people cross the road, answering questions and directing people within the event, staffing the lost and found, and so much more.
The 2023 Magic of Science Fair was sponsored by APG FCU
Magic of Science Fair participants should plan to arrive at about 8 am. Turn in at Entrance 7, 510 Thomas Run Road, (see Overview Map) and enter the building at the main entrance of the Towson University Northeast (TUNE) Maryland Building on the second floor. You will be directed to the location for your project set up, which is on the first floor. Go to your project location first, and then begin setting up your display. Judging begins at 9 am. The Awards Ceremony starts at 2:30 pm, in the Auditorium, Room 102.
