Science Saturday Instructor Opportunity
Description
As a Science Saturday Instructor, you will lead a dynamic two-hour session designed to engage young learners in a hands-on exploration of STEM concepts. Each session will focus on a specific theme, allowing students to immerse themselves in scientific principles through interactive experiments, group activities, and creative problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver an engaging curriculum centered around a selected STEM topic.
- Facilitate hands-on experiments and activities that promote critical thinking and teamwork.
- Create an inclusive and supportive environment that encourages student participation.
- Assess student understanding and provide feedback during activities.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during experiments.
Other Criteria
- Experience: Previous experience in teaching or facilitating STEM activities preferred but not required.
- Communication Skills: Ability to explain complex concepts in an accessible manner.
- Passion for STEM: A genuine enthusiasm for science and education that inspires students.
- Flexibility: Willingness to adapt activities based on student engagement and interest.
- Safety Awareness: Commitment to maintaining a safe learning environment for all participants.
