Carrie Carpenter Tharpe is a dedicated professional with a strong background in aesthetics and a deep passion for community involvement. With years of experience in the spa industry, she has built a reputation for her meticulous attention to detail, exceptional client care, and expertise in skin care. Carrie brings her extensive customer service skills, product knowledge, and impressive client retention rate to the Discovery Center.

A lifelong resident of Harford County, Carrie attended Harford Community College, where she was a member of the college’s first national champion NJCAA field hockey team. She later completed her studies at Towson University and graduated from Von Lee International School of Esthetics. Carrie holds a Maryland State Board License in Esthetics.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Carrie is deeply committed to supporting her community. She has actively participated in several local event committees, playing a crucial role in promoting nonprofit fundraising efforts, particularly those focused on children’s education. Carrie has been a steadfast supporter of St. Margaret School and the Chesapeake Cancer Alliance, helping to raise funds for the Cancer LifeNet program at The University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Medical Center. Additionally, she served as the Children’s Activities Chair for their annual Festival of Trees. Carrie is also an active alumna of the Alpha Omicron Pi Fraternity and a member of the philanthropic women’s organization P.E.O., which provides educational opportunities for women through scholarships, grants, and awards.

In her free time, Carrie enjoys spending time with her family, caring for her animals, and cheering on her favorite sports teams.
