Jill Peregino, Associate Professor, Data Science and Mathematics at Harford Community College is a STEM educator with over 11 years’ experience teaching math and science at the secondary and college level in Harford County Maryland. She has also served as an Affiliate Instructor in Statistics at Loyola University Maryland. Prior to moving to education, Jill was Vice President, Statistical Services and Advanced Analytics at IQVIA (formally IMS Health). With over 20 years in healthcare market research, Jill is skilled in sample design, projection methods, variance estimation and statistical modeling. During her tenure there, she received the Summit Award, a prestigious award given to the top 1% of global performers within the organization. In addition, she co-authored the patent “System and Methods for Generating Physician Profiles Concerning Prescription Therapy Practices”. This is an innovative statistical model to profile physicians based on their prescribing patterns. She also received several regional awards for her contributions to new product development.
Jill has a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Loyola University Maryland and a Master of Science in Applied Statistics from Iowa State University. She is married and has 3 children. She and her husband have a small farm where they raise beef cattle, enjoy long walks, and the great outdoors.
